Google Removed Paytm from Play Store
Google has removed the Paytm app from the Play Store while other apps such as Paytm for Business, Paytm Mall, Paytm Money, and some others are still available for download. Paytm refused to talk about this and said that the company would issue a statement after investigating the matter. However, the Paytm application is available for download on the Apple App Store.
Why Google Removed Paytm from Play Store
Google has not given any specific reason for the removal of this Paytm app from the Google Play Store, downloaded by millions of people in India, but Google has talked about the gambling policy in a blog. In this blog, Google said, "We do not allow online casinos or support any unregulated gambling programs that provide sports betting." Talking further in this blog, Google said, "If any app takes any users to any external or another website, which allows them to participate in a tournament to win real money or cash prizes." So that is a violation of our policy.
What is Google Policy?
"We have these policies to protect users from potential harm. When an app violates these policies, we notify the developer of the violator and remove the app from Google Play, as long as the developer app Does not bring our policy into account. If such a policy is repeatedly violated, then we can take more serious action. These serious actions may also lead to the termination of Google Play Developer accounts. Google Further stated in his blog that, our policies are consistently applied to all developers.
